James Damron is a senior managing director and head of the CLO management team at PPM America, Inc. (PPM). In this role, James is responsible for all aspects of PPM’s issuance of collateralized loan obligations. Prior to his current role, James was head of client relationship management where he led the US and international business development teams responsible for client relationship management and product development for clients globally. Prior to joining PPM in 2001, James specialized in CDO investments at the Liberty Hampshire Company, was the co-head of the asset-backed securities team at Duff & Phelps Credit Rating Co., and was an investment analyst at the Retirement Systems of Alabama. James earned a JD and master’s degree in finance from Loyola University Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in international relations and history from the University of Southern California. James is a member of the Illinois Bar.
