Our investment teams have long considered sustainability factors in their analyses, acknowledging the material impact these factors may have on the long-term risk and return of investments we make on our clients' behalf. Our integrated approach is applied broadly and across asset classes, while allowing flexibility for each portfolio manager to let the unique characteristics of their portfolios inform their analysis and portfolio construction.

Our mission is to be seen by clients as a consistently reliable partner to help them achieve their long-term value goals. Consistent with our fiduciary obligations, we incorporate sustainability factors into our investment analysis as we seek to consider all factors that can impact our ability to deliver positive investment results for our clients.

Our Approach

INTEGRATION ACROSS ASSET CLASSES

We allow flexibility for portfolio managers to let the unique characteristics of their portfolios inform their analysis and portfolio construction. We believe our investment teams, as opposed to dedicated sustainability research analysts, are in the best position to evaluate sustainability factors and decide when they may have a material impact on the financial performance of an investment.

Discussion with Issuers

Research is the cornerstone of our investment process as fundamental, bottom-up investors. While not an activist investor, we regularly take opportunities to engage with companies throughout our rigorous investment process.

CLIENT-LED EXCLUSIONARY SCREENING

Our integration framework does not result in an exclusion list that is applied at a strategy or fund level. For clients who wish to exclude certain investments in their portfolios, we will work to implement these restrictions unique to their responsible investment requirements.
