One major theme of the US economy this year has been its resiliency in the face of the most aggressive Fed rate hiking cycle in history. Aided by savings from stimulus received during the pandemic, consumers have been a significant pillar supporting growth. However, it is time to gauge their ability to continue to bolster the economy, given that it has been over two and a half years since the last round of stimulus checks were issued.
