Brian Manczak is an executive vice president and chief investment officer, Jackson National Life, at PPM America, Inc. (PPM). In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the management of Jackson National Life Insurance Company’s general account and is responsible for asset allocation, capital management, risk management, and the evaluation of new asset classes for the general account. Brian and his team are focused on delivering outstanding investment results for Jackson while enhancing strategic collaboration with Jackson’s product, asset/liability management, actuarial and corporate development teams. He also supports PPM’s Global Client Group in developing solutions to support institutional clients in the insurance channel. Previously, he was an investment grade corporate bond portfolio manager and a senior member of PPM’s investment grade private credit team. Prior to joining PPM in 2008, Brian worked in the investment banking department at Lehman Brothers and began his career at Arthur Andersen. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Miami University (Ohio). He is a CFA® charterholder.
