Matt Elsener is a senior vice president and chief risk officer at PPM America, Inc. (PPM). In this role, he oversees the firm’s risk management framework, which includes investment risk, operational risk and enterprise risk. These functions help manage risk in the firm’s investment portfolios and processes, and administer PPM’s risk policies and governance. Prior to being named chief risk officer, Matt served as deputy chief risk officer from August 2019 to December 2020, and previously was a vice president on the risk management team. Prior to joining PPM in 2017, he worked locally and internationally for Prudential plc in various leadership roles across the investment management, corporate finance and investment risk functions. Matt earned a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Nebraska.
